Grinton How also known as Grinton 'Fort' or Ox Hill

The Battle of Reeth - An iron age battle, possibly with Roman involvement. The object of the siege was Maiden Castle.

Maiden Castle - originally thought to be an iron age fort with an unusual stone entrance corridor. Now thought to possibly be a cermonial or meeting place. Also see this site.
